M.I.A. - Born Free

I love when...People from where I'm from make it. The main character in M.I.A.'s "Born Free" video is WhiteBoi...I remember when I was in 10th grade me, my friend MiShawn, him and his brother used to find a spot a the Legion and just rock off. Now he's doing bigger and better things. Big ups WhiteBoi

BGLH

Hello,
My name is Kare and I stalk three websites every day religiously. They are http://bglhonline.com/, http://curlynikki.com/, and http://fashionbombdaily.com/. Not only do I stalk them but I also leave comments, chat in forums and send questions to the writers hoping that maybe they'll feature one of them, and they did. My question was question of the day on BGLH go check it out http://bglhonline.com/2010/05/reader-question-does-natural-hair-go-through-texture-changes/#comments . I was so excited when I saw it...my train of thought went something like...Hey she has my name...hey I asked...that is my question!!!

F.A.B. High School

Ever since the fourth grade I've had one dream and that was to be a fashion designer. When my teachers used to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up they always responded, "Oh!?!...that's nice". I grew up in a small town right outside of Baltimore where it was expected for everyone to be cookie-cutter. Through school because I excelled in math and science my guidance counselor never put me in art classes even though we were told we could "make our own schedule". Now my freshman year in college is coming to an end, and I read the greatest piece of information ever that made me green with envy. August 2011, Baltimore will be opening its very own fashion design high school call Fashion Architectural Basic Design High School (FABHS). Now someone child can live her dream with support from her teachers.
